Isaiah 61

Jesus Christ speaks:

1The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted,to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,3and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness,a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.4They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.5Strangers will shepherd your flocks;foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.6And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God.You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.7Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.8“For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrong-doing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them.9Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”10I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.11For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow,so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.

Question of the moment: What must i do to be saved!

Acts 16: 30-31

He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

Question of the moment: What must I do to be saved?
The answer for eternity:   Believe in the Lord Jesus.

It sounds very simple and it can be very simple, if we are really and truly ready to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and if we sincerely want to be saved. We have to  ernestly desire Salvation and desire Him, the LOrd and Saviour Jesus Christ for He is  the Salvation of God Himself. For He is God.

Now what does it mean  and what does it take to believe?

It takes love to believe, the love of God, the love of Jesus Christ. It takes Jesus Christ to believe for He is the Love of God  and He is Manifestation and the Demontration of the love of God.

God must first love us  in order to demostrate love to us and show us how to love. We cannot love without Him and His Example. And His Example is Jesus Christ; that is why He is called " the Forerunner". We must follow God´s Example of Love which is manifested to us through Jesus Christ.
Whoever follows Jesus Christ, follows the Love of God and He follows God for Jesus is God and God is Love.

God  must love us enough to give up Himself  for us; being Love Himself, for God is Love. And this Love shown and given to us is Jesus Christ. And we know from His Word  that He certainly loves us and that  most importantly, He first loved us:

" This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. " (!st John 4:10)

" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

We cannot love without Him.We can only love Him  and everyone else when He has first loved us and by so doing shown us how to love. And He certainly love us.

So if God loves us, then we can also love Him and everyone else and that is why He commands us to do so for He has demonstrated His Love to us and enabled us to to love in the same manner:

" He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself. " (Luke 10:27)

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. "
(John 14:34)

If we have the Love of God in us and in our lives, which is Jesus Christ, Who is God, then He will make us love Him the same way He loves us. And we can love Him just as He tell us to love Him:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30) This is how we should love God :though Jesus Christ, His own love, because the Love of God, which is in Jesus Christ and which is Jesus Christ Himself is  pure, holy and perfect, for God is perfect:

"Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. " (Mark 5:48)

It is God that makes us believe through, Jesus Christ, the Fruit of His Holy Spirit, Who Comes to dwell in us isf we ernestly long and yearn for Him:

"God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God." (Psalm 53:2)

" When your children sinned against him, he gave them over to the penalty of their sin.
But if you will seek God earnestly and plead with the Almighty, if you are pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself on your behalf and restore you to your prosperous state.
Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be. " (Job 8:4-7)

Now that is true repentance and that is true faith: Seeking God!And believing God!
Seeking God whilst we aresinners and still live in sin and believing in God´s Forgiveness, which is Jesus Christ.

Now we have learnt from our Rabbi, the Holy Spirit of God  which is in Jesus Christ who reveals the Truth of God to us, which is Jesus Christ, that it takes the Love of God which is Jesus Christ to believe in God, Who is Jesus Christ.

We have learnt that we need Jesus Christ and takes Jesus Christ and  Him alone in order to believe in Jesus Christ as God.

Which means that, we cannot believe in Jesus Christ if Jesus Himself has not yet revealed or does not reveal Himself to us as the Christ (The Anointed One) of God:

as the Truth,of God, the Forgiveness of God, the Peace of God, the Comfort of God, the Love of God, the Joy of God, the Patience of God the Fear of God,the Faithfulness of God, the Humility of God, the Self-control of God, the Gentleness of God, the Justice of God, the Anointing of God, the Holy Spirit of God, the Word of God ,the Will of God, the Law of God, the Grace of God, the Glory of God, the Praise of God, the Counsel of God, the Help of God, the Salvation of God, the Revelation of God and Everything else of God to us human-beings and as God Himself.
For He is Emmanuel, He is God with us.

Once Jesus Christ comes to dwell in us with His Holy Spirit, He gives us all theses attitudes, qualities and characters of Himself- gradually, step by step and one by one, bit by bit. He transforms us from (fleshly) human-beings into spiritual-beings by making us be and live conform to His Holy Spirit. And once we are  and live conformed to His Holy Spirit we can  and will be no longer conformed to this world. That is why His Word says that:
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2)

For Jesus Christ Himself becomes our Rabbi (Teacher) through His Holy Spirit. He reveals to us the things of the spirit and guides us into all truth. He teaches us His Word and reveals it to us as the truth, the actuality and the reality of our lives in Him so that " we can abide in Him and He in us."

"But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative--that is, the Holy Spirit--he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you." (John 14:26)

That is He reveals Himself to us in the spirit by giving us His Holy Spirit and guides us to live in His Holy Spirit and in Him at anytime.
"And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven."(Luke 24:49)

And He guides us into all truth by guiding us to live in Him for He is the Truth.
"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come" (John 16:13)

And so He enables us to worship Him in truth and in Spirit every moment of our lives:
" But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:23-24)

So that now we we everything  through Him, with Him, by Him, for Him and in Him.
"I can do all this through him who gives me strength." (Philippians 4:13)

It is He who now causes us to pray where, when, how, how long, how many times and what  He wants us to pray.

And it is He who now causes us to fast when, what time and how long  He wants us to fast.

And it is He who now makes us sing, where, when, how, how long and what He wants us to sing by giving us new  and heavenly songs, melodies rhythms, etc., and putting them in our hearts and on our lips as we sing in His  Spirit.

It is He who puts the words we should speak, proclaim and testify about Him, that is His Word in our mouth and on our lips and His Holy Spirit speaks, proclaims and testifies His Word through us.

It is  He who makes us be and happen and perform everything in His Holy Name through His Holy Spirit, in His Holy Spirit and with His Holy Spirit.

It is never us, not our words, not our prayers,  not our fastings, not our songs, not our preachings, not anything of us, absolutelynothing, because "nothing good can come from us, except for the Good that He Himself puts in us." This Good is Jesus Christ who performs all things in us, with us, through us, for us, by us. It is Jesus Christ alone, not us. For are just empty vessels that the Almighty God in HIs endless precious Grace chooses to use for His own  Purpose and for His own Glory.
The Grace, Purpose  and the Glory of God in us and in our lives is Jesus Christ alone.

God gives us His Jesus Christ by putting His Holy Spirit in us, in oder to make us, usless vessels as we are, useful to Him through Jesus Christ. For without Jesus Christ,we cannot come to God and we cannot serve God; everyone and everything we do is useless before God wthout Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit.
"And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith." (1st Corinthians 15:14)
For Jesus Christ, being the Holy Spirit of God is God.  For God is a Spirit and God is holy.
We can only come to God and serve God when we become holy and only He can make us holy, through Jesus Christ. That is why we should worship Him in truth and in Spirit through Jesus Christ, since Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit and the Truth of God.

We believe and become like Jesus Christ, when we obey and observe His commands.
" So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul..." (Deuteronomy 11:13)

"If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow—to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast to him...."  (Deuteronomy 11:22)

Let us therefore believe and become like Jesus Christ, our Forerunner by  living and acting exactly like Him, following Him step by step through and in His Holy Spirit. " For it is not by our power, nor by our might or strength"- because we have none- " but it is only by His Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts." (Zechariah 4:6) And His Spirit He gives to us freely. Therefore "freely we receive and freely we must give"- all of it.(Matthew 10:7-8).

To God  alone be all glory, honour and praise through Jesus Christ, our Salvation, who is the Prince of Peace , the Lords of Lord, the King of Kings and God Himself. Amen
